An unusual competition took place on August 27th in the town of Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales, in the United Kingdom: swamp diving with snorkels (diving goggles with a breathing tube). During the competition, participants moved through a 55-meter course filled with water and mud. They were allowed to use proper diving shoes in addition to the snorkel.

Some participants decorated their snorkels with unique details: one used a giant plastic frog on their head; another one wore a pink cowboy hat. The competition is annual, and the 35th edition took place in 2023.
