On September 29th, a woman was stopped by the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Minneapolis International Airport, when she arrived from Kenya with giraffe feces in her luggage. When she was caught, she said that she just wanted to use the material to make a necklace. She said that she had already made an accessory using moose feces collected in her home in Iowa, USA.
According to the CBP, transporting this type of material from country to country may present a risk of contamination and the spread of diseases.
