On May 7th, Metallica performed at the Couto Pereira stadium in Curitiba (Paraná state). Brazilian Joice Figueiró was in the audience and started giving birth during the presentation. The event’s medical team assisted her, but there was not enough time to go to a hospital. She gave birth to a baby boy when the band had three songs left to play.

Joyce and her husband, Jaime, are fans of the band. They bought their tickets three years ago, before the Covid-19 pandemic. That is why they did not think about the end of pregnancy coinciding with the show. In an Internet post, Joyce said, “Every show I go to, something has to happen, but this time I think I’ve outdone myself. Luan Figueiró came into the world on 05/07/2022, at 23:15, shaking all metal structures”, she added.
