American Kingsley Burnett made a mistake that cost him hours of travel and some money. He wanted to travel to Sydney, the famous city in Australia. The country is known for its tropical weather and biodiversity. However, when he arrived there, he saw a different scene from what he expected: a mountain covered in snow.
This was when Burnett realized he confused the city he bought the ticket for. Instead of the Sydney in Australia, Burnett went to Sidney, Montana, in the United States. To resolve this mess, an airport attendant helped him reserve a hotel room for the night and then go back home.
This is not the first time something like this has happened. Because of the acronyms used by airports to refer to the two cities, SYD (Australia) and SDY (USA), other people have also gotten the two destinations mixed up.
