The book Meu Livro de Folclore, by Ricardo Azevedo, brought us joy and fun. Between tales, rhymes, tongue twisters, popular sayings, songs and other popular knowledge, the author takes us on an animated journey through popular culture.
The book is the result of careful research. It presents the collection as a source of wealth and imagination, related to Brazilian folklore. It was illustrated by the author himself and captures the reader’s attention because of the characters’ traits and popularity. While reading in class, we third graders learned a lot and had so much fun!
In our opinion, it is really worth traveling through the pages of this book. We want to highlight the short story “Gaspar, eu caio!”. It is a scary story, but is not scary at all… In fact, we found it quite funny!
