This has been written before the wedding (my expectations, gossip, information and thoughts about the wedding) Hope you enjoy!

Prince Charles will walk Meghan down the aisle due to the confirmation that her father will not be attending the wedding (a separate family incident that I am not going to dwell on). A shame to miss your daughter’s special day, right?

Anyway, Meghan is mixed race and it is great to see diversity in the royal family! I am mixed race and she is a fantastic role model for me and many others. She has shown it’s possible…so maybe I could be in the royal family?! Umm…no. Maybe that is too far.

Perhaps, in the future, we could be seeing princesses from all over the world and of all races. Who knows where the next one will be from?

Although I am complementing her, there is some controversy about the fact that she has divorced in previous relationships. Will this be one of her first ever lasting relationships? We shall see. Apologies, this is turning into a serious family and relationship drama. It is so much more than just a wedding; it could be a whole Netflix series: 13 reasons why you shouldn’t get married (cynical comment).

The excitement has got the better of others to the extent that they would camp outside all night in Windsor to be right there watching the wedding. However, it would be better if you were one of the lucky individuals who got invited to the Wedding.

Although I have given my sarcastic opinion, I would like to end on a more positive side. This is going to be an amazing event. I really admire Meghan Markle and I think she is going to be a great duchess. She is an actress, but she has also been involved in the UN and she has been an advocate for women since she was 11. Being a feminist, I admire her contribution to the empowerment of the female community. I couldn’t think of anyone better to join royalty and she is extremely deserving this role. I am excited for her as she begins her journey in royalty and continues to fight for women’s rights.
