In 2019, a gold toilet by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan was stolen. The toilet was displayed at Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) World Heritage site, in southern England. The thieves broke into the palace and carried away the toilet made of 18-carat gold and worth around £4.8 million (close to 29 million reais).
On November 6th, four men were officially charged with the crime. The accused will appear in court in Oxford, England, on the 28th of this month to answer charges.
