Firefighters were called after a rug got stuck in a tree in the Copacabana neighborhood of the city of Rio de Janeiro, on August 11th. Apparently, the object “flew” from the window of one of the apartments on the street.

To carry out the operation, firemen had to use two trucks and close off the road, so cars and pedestrians could not pass through the area. The process lasted close to an hour. The tree had to be trimmed, and a ladder had to be used to remove it.

According to the Fire Department, the unusual move was needed to prevent the carpet from falling off the tree and hurting someone on the street. Local residents posted videos and images of the operation on social media networks.
