An Among Us player decided to innovate and create a “solitary” version of the game. In this game, called Among You, a participant can play alone. It is not like the original version, in which each game must have at least four players.

Tokaint, the project’s creator, posted a video on his YouTube channel at the end of 2020 that explained how the game works. When the user joins a game, he/she takes on the role of the detective who must find the clues and the culprit while running away from the imposter. Although it is different from the original game, the characters in Among You look the same. There is also a main ship.

The game is not available on digital platforms – only people authorized by Tokaint can play it free of charge. The youtuber has said that if the video for the project becomes successful, then he will add new features, make improvements and create other artwork for the game. The idea would be to make the game available online after these changes have been made.

Among Us’ success

Launched in 2018, Among Us is a digital game in which a group of participants have to find out who among them is the impostor. In 2020, the game was one of the most played games worldwide. According to a report by Apptopia, a company that specializes in Apps, it was the most downloaded game last year, with more than 260 million downloads worldwide (that is more than the entire Brazilian population, which is about 212 million people).
