Biologist Christopher Mah, from the United States, went viral on social media. He posted a photo of a sponge and a starfish that look like the characters SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star. On the July 27th post, the researcher explained that he usually avoids making comparisons. This time, however, he could not help it. The photo was taken in the Atlantic Ocean, 320 km away from New York.

Sponges usually live in very deep areas and do not have such a vibrant yellow colour. They are usually orange or white. The stars are not usually so pink. The closeness between the two creatures was also noticeable. They are side-by-side like the inseparable cartoon pair. By the time this issue of Joca went to press, the post already had more than 13,000 likes on Twitter.
