Two artworks called “Take the Money and Run” were exhibited at The Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg, Denmark. The artworks were created by local artist Jens Haaning. The pieces were blank canvases. Jens was given 84 thousand dollars (about 462,000 reais) for the work.

The idea was for the artist to produce modern art. In an interview with Denmark’s public broadcaster, Haaning said the works were a criticism of low wages. He believes that anyone who gets paid too little to do something they do not like should take the money and run. On the NPR website, one of the museum employees said that the team already thought something might turn out to be unlike what was expected when the artist announced the title of the work. However, this did not stop the team from laughing a lot when it received the two blank canvases on September 23rd.
