The Blackpool zoo in Lancashire, England has an open job position that is quite unusual. The institution is looking for a candidate to dress up as a bird to scare away seagulls that steal food from visitors and animals that live there.
On April 26th, the park tweeted about the job on its Twitter account: “We don’t think there is a country on earth that hasn’t been talking about our vacancy for a human seagull deterrent,” it posted along with a video. In the video, a person can be seen dressed as a bird, doing the job.
The requirements for the job are to be extroverted, lively, and to feel comfortable dressed as a bird. There are five spots for anyone who is up to scaring off seagulls, especially from the zoo’s eating areas. Use the QR to watch the video that shows what the job is like.
