Wacky stuff: Wife-carrying Competition Takes Place in the United States – Level 2

On October 12th, 30 couples gathered in the state of Maine to take part in the North American Wife Carrying Championship. The competitors faced a 254-meter obstacle course which included diving into water, jumping over logs, and walking through mud. Most carried their partner upside down on their back like a backpack. Pairs did not have to be married or include a man and a woman to participate. The winners, Caleb and Justine Roesler, completed the course in the shortest time, and won five times the wife’s weight in cash.
