Thirteen-year-old Francisco from Curitiba, Paraná, was determined to get a dog. He decided to sign a petition to convince his family to adopt a dog. No one expected, however, that the document would include the “signature” of famous people – signed by the young man himself. The list includes Naruto, Cinderella, Batman, Harry Potter, Neymar, Maísa, Monteiro Lobato, and Sponge Bob.

The story went viral when Francisco’s mother posted the petition on social media on July 6^th. She challenged her son to collect 100 signatures (the list with famous people had 75). The post was so successful that Internet users created a petition to help the teenager reach the target.

Because of the joke, the family now has a new member: Bolota, a three-year-old mixed breed dog that Francisco’s cousins gave him.
