Campbell Remess is 14 years old. He lives in Tasmania, an Australian island. He is a hero there and all over the world, because he makes teddy bears and gives them to sick children.

Project 365 started when Campbell was nine. He asked his parents to buy toys for children in the hospital in his city (Hobart, the capital of Tasmania). His mom said that she did not have enough money, so Campbell had an idea. His idea was to make gifts to cheer up kids in difficult situations.

His parents and eight siblings call him Bumble. Campbell learned how to sew using his mom’s machine and began to make teddy bears. In the first year, he made 365 bears. That is how the project got its name. Today, he has made more than 1400 bears.

Campbell recently began to auction some of the bears online. He is using the funds to send the stuffed animals to children with cancer. He told Hobart’s ABC Radio that the bears’ magic is to give hope to people.
