On April 21st, The Observer published an article about a new attempt by the city of Milan, in Italy, to ban all food sales and consumption in public after midnight. The law seeks to decrease noise and the amount of groups of people in the city in the early hours of the morning. “People won’t be happy” stated Marco Barbieri, secretary general for the Milan unit of Confcommercio to The Observer. In 2013, Milan’s city hall tried to introduce the same restriction, but was not successful.
