Tom Quirk, a 36-year-old American, was doing his household chores when he discovered a new hobby: drawing famous figures on rugs with the vacuum cleaner. First, Tom drew geometric shapes. Over time, he began to reproduce images such as the Mona Lisa painting and rock guitarist Slash.

It all started when he noticed that sharp lines appeared on the rugs as he vacuumed in different directions. Tom was interviewed by the British newspaper Metro News. “It normally takes me about 15 to 20 minutes which isn’t bad considering it took Leonardo Da Vinci four years to do the Mona Lisa”, he joked.
