The German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung reported on April 8th that an employee at the German museum Pinakothek der Moderne, in Munich, was fired after hanging his own work in the museum without permission in an attempt to become famous. The 51-year-old man worked in the museum’s technical team after closing hours. Seeking to become known as an artist, he hung one of his paintings in the middle of the night. Now, in addition to being fired, he has also been banned from visiting the art collection while the police invesigate the case.
