The wall that Donald Trump, President of the United States, wants to build to prevent illegal immigrant entry is no longer just a campaign promise. Six companies have been hired by the American government to build eight mock-up versions of the wall that will separate the USA and Mexico. This information was revealed by NPR, the national public radio of the United States.

Walls close to 9 metres tall are being raised between the cities of San Diego and Tijuana. According to Reuters, a news agency, the mock-ups will be ready by the end of October.

There are close to thousands of kilometres of walls and barriers to hinder the crossing of cars and people all along the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. The barriers, however, have not been able to stop the entrance of illegal immigrants and drugs.
