In 2025, the 23rd Paraty International Literary Festival (FLIP) was held from July 30th to August 3rd. Since 2003, the fair has brought together writers, readers, and publishers of different genres and ages.

The program included readings, panel discussions, presentations, and a series of activities hosted by partner venues and events all over town, such as workshops, film screenings, and concerts.

Every year, Flip pays homage to an author. In 2025, the chosen author was Paulo Leminski, a poet from Curitiba who was born in 1944 and died in 1989. Although known primarily for his poetry, Leminski also wrote novels, children’s books, and articles for newspapers and magazines.

Flipinha and FlipZona

Flipinha is Flip’s program dedicated to children and young people. With the theme “Living Planet,” this year’s program addressed topics such as sustainability and the environment. One of the highlights was the Book Tree (“Pé de Livro”), where works were hung from trees and made available to the public. Check out some of the works and their participating authors.
