South Korea and the United States are the first countries to offer 5G, an extremely fast Internet connection. The new feature became functional this month in certain regions of the two countries. It can be almost 20 times faster than 4G, a network that was the most modern in the world until now.

Aside from high speed, 5G service offers more stability and coverage than its predecessor. This allows for faster downloads, more efficient Internet navigation, and further development of “future technology”. According to specialists, self-driving cars, for example, will benefit from 5G.

In Brazil, 5G started being tested in 2016, but will only be available to mobile phone users in 2023.
