Para Sempre no Meu Coração is a work by Mauricio de Sousa about Dorinha’s visual impairment. Dorinha is very happy and very intelligent. She is visually impaired, but that does not stop her from having many friends (…). S h e recognizes her friends through touch, sound, and smell.

Dorinha’s grandmother Zinha taught her and helped her when she was alive. She would take Dorinha to the beach to feel the wind and also to restaurants and orchestras. Dorinha’s dog, Radar, helps her get around and not trip over. It accompanies her on her walks to help her cross the street.

Our group’s opinion is that Mauricio is right (…), because he respects those who are disabled, and we agree that we should also respect disabled people (…).
