On August 9th, a TikTok user shared a video (without the date of the recording) of a sneaker that was left in the Guggenheim Museum in New York, in the United States, and was then mistaken for a piece of contemporary art. In the video, the person who was recording it takes off an All-Star sneaker and places it in a corner of the museum.

The sneaker, with no sign indicating that it was possibly a work of art, was photographed and observed by visitors. In the comments of the posted video, users said they would have also stopped to take a picture of the shoe. By the time this issue went to press, the Guggenheim Museum still had not commented on this.
