Starting on August 18th, voters who wish to practice using the electronic voting machines before this year’s elections can use the voting simulator on the website of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE). This tool has been in operation since 2014. Its objective is to help citizens feel more prepared when they arrive at poll sites, thus preventing delays in the process and mistakes when choosing candidates.
On the simulator, those who select the first round can simulate a vote in the order in which it takes place on October 2nd: congressman, state representative (or district deputy, for the Federal District), senator, governor, and president.
Those who simulate the run-off will practice voting for governor and president – positions for which a run-off is expected to occur. In 2022, if needed, the run-off will take place on October 30th.
All the candidates in the simulator are fictitious and are not related to the ones who are really running this year.
