Siddharth Nandyala, an Indian who lives in Texas, in the United States (USA), has developed an app capable of detecting cardiovascular diseases using artificial intelligence (AI). The app, called CircadiaV, has already been tested on over 15,000 patients in the USA and 3,500 in India, achieving 96% accuracy in the results.
It is easy to use: in just seven seconds, with the cell phone pressed against the chest, the program uses the device’s own speakers to pre-screen the user for possible diseases. In other words, it quickly evaluates and identifies arrhythmias, irregularities and even heart failure.
To get CircadiaV off the ground, Nandyala spent days visiting hospitals and talking to doctors and patients to collect data and information for the project. He spent eight months developing the app and training his AI model.
Today, the app is available to authorized professionals who help validate and improve the program, and it is still awaiting approval from regulatory agencies to be used by more people.
Nandyala’s work has even received praise from the chief minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu. The young man continues to innovate: he is developing a low-cost prosthesis controlled by thought and, through his company, maintains software that encourages the teaching of robotics, programming and artificial intelligence in schools.
