Have you ever imagined a library of people instead of books? That is the idea behind the Human Library, an enterprise created in Denmark in the year 2000.

At the library, those who are interested meet people with interesting life stories and listen to what they have to tell. Thus, library goers must choose who they want to “borrow” and then attend a meeting in which the “book” (in this case, the people) talk about their life stories. There is hope that through the library the conversations will encourage people to be more respectful and tolerant.
