Members of the French Parliament passed a law to ban plastic cotton swabs by 2020. Cotton swabs are an environmental nightmare. Companies will have to produce cotton swabs that are entirely biodegradable. This law is similar to ones that banned plastic bags in supermarkets, plastic micro- particles in soaps, and other laws that were designed to protect the environment.
