…do not drink water? But that does not mean they do not feel thirsty. When a frog needs to hydrate, it sits in a puddle of water, and its skin absorbs the liquid.

…are everywhere? You can find frogs on almost every continent. The only exception is Antarctica, since it is very cold there and conditions are not suitable for the animal.

…are very old? There is evidence that they have been around for at least 200 million years, that is, they lived with dinosaurs. At that time there was even a giant frog called Beelzebufo ampinga that ate smaller dinosaurs.

…some species glow in the dark? One of them is Brachycephalus rotenbergae, which was found in the Atlantic tropical forest in May 2021.

…most species sleep during the day and stay awake at night? However, there are some that stay awake in the daytime. You can tell which are the day species because they have a special coloring to camouflage themselves among dry leaves.
