Em Baikonur, no Cazaquistão, a  tripulação da Expedição 49 embarcou na espaçonave para um novo projeto.

Dois cosmonautas russos e um astronauta americano decolaram nesta quarta-feira a bordo do foguete Soyuz do Cazaquistão rumo à Estação Espacial Internacional (ISS).

Expedition 49 Launch

Shane Kimbrough, 49 anos, que já foi astronauta no foguete americano Endeavour, está no comando da missão.

O russo Borissenko já ficou 164 dias no espaço durante sua primeira missão na ISS, em 2011. O outro russo, Ryjikov, viaja ao espaço pela primeira vez.

A missão dos três deve durar quatro meses. Eles vão acoplar o foguete na ISS na sexta-feira e se unirão ao russo Anatoli Ivanishin, a americana Kate Rubins e o japonês Takuya Onishi, que retornam à Terra em 30 de outubro.
