I liked this book, it is different because it has some rhymes, and I thought that was really nice. The illustrations are impeccable, very realistic, and so beautiful! The story is about a father and his daughter Ceci who are Portuguese and have travelled to Brazil. In the beginning, it is a love story, and in the end, it is a sad one. I do not think I have seen a book like that before. In the beginning, a man, Peri, saves Ceci from being kidnapped, and they fall in love. In the end, Ceci’s father dies because of a plot against him. Then, Peri and Ceci start to live in the woods by themselves.
