Three men have been put on trial in the UK charged with stealing an 18-carat solid gold toilet in 2019 – another defendant had already pleaded guilty. The piece, named America, was a work of art displayed at Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. Valued at 5.95 million dollars, it has never been found. Authorities believe that the object was split up and sold in smaller pieces. The trial had not been finalized when this edition of JOCA went to press.
