On September 17th, the ABC News website published an interview with Ken Wilson, a San Francisco resident. Ken revealed he was involved in a mix-up for a long time: for 18 years, Ken paid his neighbor’s electricity bill.
The story started when Ken contacted the energy company, PG&E, to complain because he was irritated that his bill was getting more expensive. After a visit from a company technician, it was discovered that Ken was also paying the bill for the apartment next door since 2006. This happened because of a mistake in the electricity meter. PG&E said in an official statement that the company is “committed to rectifying the situation with the customer.”
