On September 24th, a video posted by the Dog Altinha profile on TikTok showed Floki, a border collie, playing footvolley (like volleyball, except the ball can be hit with any part of the body besides the hands and arms) on a beach in Rio de Janeiro. Three-year-old Floki appears with a group of adults hitting back all the balls thrown at him.

Because of the dog’s talent, the profile has thousands of followers on social media. There are 500 million views on Tik Tok alone. The repercussions were such that even international websites published reports on the animal’s agility. According to Gustavo Rodrigues, Floki’s and the profile’s owner, the border collie can make moves that are difficult even for professional footvolley athletes.
