The NBA 2024-25 season began on October 22nd. A total of 30 teams from the United States and Canada are competing in the world’s top basketball championship.

On the opening night, defending champions Boston Celtics played the New York Knicks. The Celtics played in their rivals’ home and won 132 points to 109.Before the start of the game, Celtics star Jayson Tatum and his teammates took part in a ceremony honoring the champions from the previous season that ended in June. At the event, the athletes received the long-awaited trophy. In keeping with the tradition of American sports – including basketball, American football, and ice hockey – the athletes were also presented with championship rings.

Brazilians in Court

Brazil currently has Gui Santos playing for the iconic Golden State Warriors. Brazilian midfielder Tristan da Silva, whose father is Brazilian but who was born in Germany, was also drafted by the Orlando Magic and could make his professional debut this season.

Father and Son on the Same Team

For the first time in NBA history, we will see father and son playing at the same time and on the same team! Basketball legend LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, will play for the Los Angeles Lakers.
