According to the British press, in the last 30 years, the monarch’s bets on horse races have earned her 7 million British pounds (30 million reais) in prizes. Last year was the record year of winnings with over R$ 2,3 million. Spokespeople from Buckingham Palace where the Queen lives did not comment on the monarch’s gains.

Queen Elizabeth II’s passion for riding and horses started when she was a child. She inherited several of her best purebred horses from her father, King George VI, when he passed away in 1952.

The Queen visits her horses regularly to observe and evaluate them starting from birth. The animals live in Norfolk, in the English countryside.
