Most Brazilians do not yet use generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT or Midjourney, according to a Datafolha survey. The survey, released on August 19, shows that 57% have never used AI to generate text and 69% have never created images with this type of technology—though 93% use AI services indirectly, such as social media, music apps, or maps.

Many (62%) already use AI to study, for activities such as summarizing texts, reviewing content, or getting ideas for assignments. But experts note that use is still limited, focused more on saving time than on deeper learning.

Another important point is trust. Many users (90%) check AI responses on other sources —a healthy habit, as these tools don’t always provide up-to-date or accurate data.
