Wacky stuff | Soccer Club Holds Minute of Silence for Player – Level 2/3

Bulgaria’s Arda Kardzhali soccer club made headlines around the world for a strange mistake. Before the start of the Bulgarian league match against Levski Sofia, both teams held a minute of silence in honor of Petko Ganchev, a former Arda player who had supposedly passed away. The problem was that the player was alive. The mistake was only discovered during half-time, when the club’s press office informed the broadcaster that the news of his death was false. Ganchev, age 28, still plays in the second division.
