On November 3rd, a Persian cat named Max became the world champion at the FIFe World Show 2024, held in Oslo, Norway. The cat was born and raised in Crucilândia, Minas Gerais, and has already won another 23 national and international awards. Max stood out among close to 1,200 cats evaluated by 26 judges on the basis of beauty and personality. The event, held since 1990, is one of the foremost cat competitions in the world. According to Vânia Rocha, the animal’s guardian, this type of competition helps improve the breed’s genes.
