Banda Casa Bagunçada – By Uirá, age 9, and Ian, age 7
Casa Bagunçada is an album of children’s music that adults recorded with kids. It’s about the Earth and the things in it. It has cool songs like “Batuque” and “Casa do Foguete”. We are part of the Casa Bagunçada project, which recorded the album. It’s really fun, because it’s a band with kids and adults. We can play with friends, we can do a lot of things, and we can use the songs in class, like in the Escola Municipal de Iniciação Artística that we go to. We hope you like it. We feel so happy when we listen to the songs we helped record! They are on Spotify.
(Marcos Rey – Editora Ática) – By Alice R.
The murder of a poor accordion player does not really concern anyone, except for a group of young investigators: Léo, Gino, and Angela. Over the course of the book, they come up with plans and investigate this mysterious murder. The three young ones fi nd several people and clues that help them in a case full of questions: who killed him? Why? I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mystery and adventure. Warning: anything could happen.
(Carol Fernandes — Caixote Publishing) – By Lucas D. and Marina B.
The book tells the story of a boy’s family where traditionally everyone cooks, decorates, and cleans the house together. This takes place in the city of Salvador during the month of February because it is a month of celebrations there. The illustrations are very beautiful. It is interesting to read as a family, and it is recommended for those who want to learn about the traditions of the city of Salvador. The story is told from a child’s point of view.
