Just imagine that you are walking down the street and it suddenly starts to “snow” cocoa. Cocoa is the raw material used to make chocolate. This actually happened in the city of Olten, Switzerland, on August 14th.
The windstorm on that day, together with a ventilation system problem at the Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate threw various small particles of roasted and crushed cocoa beans into the air. One car was totally covered in grains, forming a layer of brown powder over the car.
The chocolate company said that the particles were not dangerous to humans or the environment, and that the ventilation system was repaired.
