According to a study sponsored by Queen Mary University of London and publicized on August 28th, goats show more interest in humans who have a positive facial expression than in those who express grumpiness. The conclusion came after scientists analysed the behaviour of 20 goats while looking at human faces. According to the study, the goats’ skill is the result of centuries of coexistence with humans through domestication. A similar behaviour is found in dogs that are able to identify through their owners’ voice if they are sad.
