I recommend this book for people ages 9 to 13. It is a bit hard to read, but if you put your mind to it, it is a very good story. It is about an 11-year-old girl, Anne, who is sent by mistake to a family who in fact wants to adopt a boy to help around the farm. Anne does not fit in with the other children at school because she is poor, orphaned, and everyone thinks she dresses strangely. There are a lot of confusions and adventures in this story, which is about treating people who are different well.
