Collecting and exchanging stickers are activities that, for years, have marked the months preceding the World Cup. The competition’s official album went on sale on August 19th. This time, it features collectible stickers with athletes, mascots, shields, stadiums, and host cities on them.

Players from the 32 countries competing in the Qatar Cup feature in the album. However, only two athletes who play for Brazilian clubs are included in the album: Robert Arboleda, from São Paulo, and Giorgian De Arrascaeta, from Flamengo – they will play for Ecuador and Uruguay, respectively. It is worth noting that other players might still be selected to play, as the official list has not been released yet.

Extra stickers

For the Qatar Cup, 20 players were chosen for the rare stickers – 14 legends and six rookies. Each of these athletes can be featured under four colors: gold, silver, bronze, and burgundy. This means that there are 80 stickers of this type. They are not needed to complete the album, but they come in the sticker packages. This means that instead of getting only five stickers in a package, lucky people will get an extra one.

Panini, the company that produces the album in Brazil, has not disclosed the number of extra stickers in circulation. The album has room to stick four of them. Virtual Album A new feature of the 2022 edition is the option to put together a virtual, free, and smaller version of the album through an App. To register, you must be 18 years of age or older. Panini recommends that minors talk to a guardian so that they may register using their own personal data, such as their full name.
