On July 26, a baby was born in Ohio, United States, from an embryo that had been frozen for over 30 years. The newborn may have broken the world record for the longest time frozen before resulting in a live birth. The parents, Tim and Lindsey Pierce, adopted the embryo through a specialized agency, Nightlight Christian Adoptions. Lindsey said that, for her family, the experience was “like something out of a sci-fi movie.”
