The plan is a response to consumers who no longer drink the brand’s products for health reasons. Studies show that in the United States, the current consumption of beverages is 19% lower than it was 15 years ago. This is of great concern to an industry that moves close to US$ 4,8 trillion.
Sugar has been increasingly turned down by consumers after studies showed it is addictive and harmful to people. For this reason, beverage and food manufacturers are more and more concerned with finding a substitute for sugar.
